Medha Agarwal

Storyteller

Medha Agarwal is a writer, designer and storyteller. Graduate of Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology, her work weaves narratives that are grounded and sensitive to their context while also challenging social conventions and stretching the imagination. She has worked as a script writer, communication designer and oral historian, in commercial, social and educational environments.
She is known for “Gods of Aarey”, a tactile book written and made for visually impaired children. She wove each page, using different textured yarn to create a story that can be read through touch. It won the third prize and the Innovative Book Design award at the National Tactile Book Making Competition. She has also been published in Springer Journal and Unbound Journal.
When she is not hunched over her laptop, typing tales of wonder, she can be found dancing Odissi, watching anime and crafting funky jewellery.
