He works as an Assistant Professor at Government Degree College viz Michael Madhusudan Dutta College at Sabroom, South District of Tripura State, India. He has been actively participating for the Darlong Community works, hence, the interest to preserve and conserve the community's heritage and culture was born out of it. This, in fact, has pushed him through his academic career as well.

He has grown up under the kindful care of his grand-uncle, who took the pain to nurture him after his parents passed away. He has always been his inspiration throughout. He would also like to thank his Ph.D Supervisor, Prof Ashes Gupta, without whose inspiration and constant support he might not have been what he is today. He admits and give credits to all his resource persons who have given him so much of information in regard to the Darlong community.
